NWSL Semi-Finals are Set!

1. NWSL

The first round of NWSL playoffs did not disappoint.

  • Chicago Red Stars vs. Gotham FC: Chicago defeated Gotham 1-0. Mallory Pugh scored Chicago's only goal in the 61st minute.

  • Washington Spirit vs. NC Courage: The Spirit won 1-0 vs the Courage. Both Casey Murphy and Aubrey Bledsoe put on clinics in goal. The game was tied 0-0 at the end of regulation and went into overtime. Ashley Hatch netted the game winning goal in the 113'.

2. FA WSL (England)

League Standings (Top 6)

Arsenal stays undefeated after beating West Ham 4-0. Kim little had a brace, while Beth Mead scored once again. The fourth goal came from a West Ham own goal. Kim Little has now scored 50 goals in the FA WSL. Manchester City get their second win of the season. They beat Leicester 4-1. Leicester got off to a quick start scoring in the first minute. Weir, Walsh, Hemp, and Coombs scored for City. Could this be the turning point for their season? Tottenham scored in the 90+5’ to tie the game vs. Manchester United. Ria Percival scored on a free kick from WAY out. CBS Sports announces that they have required the rights to Barclays FA Women’s Super League. Starting in the summer of 2022 games will be shown on Paramount+ and CBS Sports in America.

Wolfsburg scored the game-winning goal on the last play of the game. Janssen's goal in the 90+4' helped Wolfsburg beat Frankfurt 3-2. Frankfurt was up 2-0 after the first twenty minutes. Wolfsburg's goals came from a Janssen brace and Jill Roord.

Barcelona remains undefeated after beating Eibar 3-0. Barcelona has now scored 54 goals in 9 games and only given up 2. Levante defeated Athletic Club 3-2 over the weekend. The win allowed Levante to jump Athletic Club in the table.
